How to enable Search Description in Blogger

To enable search description, click on Setting Tab and tap on Search Preferences. Now enable search description, and enter the suitable keywords that describe your blog.

How to Prevent Blogger from redirecting to Country Specific Domains

Google redirects their Blogger blogs to country specific domain extension since 2012. For Example open socialmedialoud.blogspot.com in your web browser, you will be redirected to socialmedialoud.blogspot.in if you are located in India or socialmedialoud.blogspot.fr if you are accessing the blog from France. Blog redirection only occurs if you are on a blogspot domain and country specific redirection not apply to custom domains.
From my blog traffic log, it is sure that country specific redirection in Blogger is live in at least 15 countries. They are Argentina (blogspot.com.ar), Australia (blogspot.com.au), Brazil (blogspot.br), Canada (blogspot.ca), Germany (blogspot.de), India (blogspot.in), Italy (blogspot.it), France (blogspot.fr), Japan (blogspot.jp), Mexico (blogspot.mx), Portugal (blogspot.pt), Spanish (blogspot.cl), Sweden (blogspot.se)

To avoid country specific redirection in your Blogger blog, follow these simple steps given below.

Login to Blogger account. Click on Template > Edit HTML > Press Ctrl + F to find <head> and press enter. Now copy one script from given below and paste it after the <head> and click on "save template". Now your Blogger Blog will always serve with the blogspot.com URL.

How to Add a Contact Form in Blogger Blog

Most of the blog don't have a contact form which is highly important for website or blog. Adding a contact form to Blogger can be done with a few coding tweaks. You can see contact form offered by Blogger in add a Gadget popup but unfortunately they've made it as a Gadget and placed it on the Layout page so that it is added to your sidebar.

How to Add a Contact Form in Blogger Blog

To add contact form in your blog follow the procedure. Login to your Blogger account and click on Pages > Blank Page. Create a new page in your blog with page title "Contact Us".

You have to switch to the HTML mode and paste the following code and replace blogger ID (like 6655176397219971080) . You can find your blogger ID on the URL bar of your browser when you are on any page of blog's dashboard. Now click on Options and disable Readers comments by tick on "Don't allow, Hide Existing" .

Once the page is published, go to this new page fill out the contact form, click on the send button and verify that it sends out the email to all the Blog admins.

How to Use Alt tags in Blogger images

Most common mistake done by many blogger is that they forget to put alt tag in images due to which loss of organic traffic. Do you know alt tag is very important in Google Blogger to increase blog ranking and organic traffic. You don't have any plugin in blogger like WordPress plugin in order to get alt tag in images.

Alt tag is a part of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Google image search tool is most popular service to find images, graphics and icons from all around the Web. In order to get more organic traffic from Google search engine always use atleast one image in your blog post with proper alt tag.

How to Use Alt tag in Blogger

Login to your blogger account and click on post. You can either upload a fresh image for New post or use existing image in the Published post. Click on image > Properties. It will open a pop up with image properties like Title text and Alt text.

Add the Title text and Alt text related to your Post, for example if you writing a Post about How to download torrent directly, Just use Download torrent directly in Title text and How to download torrent directly in Alt text.

Note : Don't use special characters like @, $, %, &, *, ^, ! and more than 15 words in Alt text and Title text.

There is another method to add Alt text in blogger. To do so, click on post > html view > Press Ctrl + F. Now find img and add alt="image keyword" after it. Replace image keyword with alt text . To add Title text, find title and replace image title with Title text something like this.

How to Backup Your Blogger Blog and Template

Login to your blogger dashboard and choose settings > Other. Here you'll see an option that says "Export Blog" > click the link and it will download a copy of your blog post and comment to the hard drive in Atom (XML) format.
